1847 Medical Officer to Custom House.
9 June 1848 Fellow of the Royal Society.
1858 C.B. (Companion of the Bath).
1858 Presented a service of plate by the medical naval officers in recognition of his exertions on behalf of their rights.
1859 Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, London.
4 May 1862 Died (after a fall downstairs in his own house).
