| 1) | After returning from tjhe coast Commander Cave and the Master, George P heather, were tried by Court-Martial because Ardent had ran aground off Great Poko on 24 December 1858. They were sentenced to be repromanded and admonsihed to be more careful in future. Upon docking Ardent was found to be quite severely damaged. |
